Your image files
The app reads FITS image files from folders you explicitly open. It never modifies, copies, or transmits your files. File access is governed by macOS's sandbox — the app can only reach files and folders you have granted it access to.
Your preferences
Settings such as key bindings, display options, and window layout are stored locally in your Mac's standard user preferences (macOS UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device.
Security-scoped bookmarks
To remember which folders you have opened across sessions, the app stores a macOS security-scoped bookmark locally on your device. This bookmark contains only the file-system location of your chosen folder — nothing else.
The app uses no third-party SDKs, frameworks, or services. It relies exclusively on Apple's own frameworks (SwiftUI, Metal, Accelerate, Foundation).
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. FITS Blaster does not see or store your payment information. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.
The app does not collect any data from any user, including children.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date. As the app collects no data, material changes are unlikely.
